Teach at the
Highest Level.
The L3 Teaching Course develops your ability to teach intermediate and advanced skiers to a senior professional standard. The focus moves beyond the fundamentals — into refining technique on steeper, more varied terrain and building lessons that genuinely move strong skiers forward.
Over four days, candidates work on accurate movement analysis, clear and effective feedback, lesson planning and progression, and adapting their teaching to different learning styles and goals — all on the terrain intermediate and advanced skiers actually ski.
Candidates work in small groups, coaching each other's skiing and improving it in real-life teaching scenarios. That is what makes the module so demanding — and it is exactly how you learn the most efficient way to teach high-level skiers.
L3 Teaching is one of the most career-defining modules in the pathway. It is the qualification that opens doors to ski school leadership, head instructor roles, and trainer positions within BASI-approved academies.
Not included: Accommodation, lift pass, ski equipment, and BASI exam fee. We can help arrange all of these — ask us when you enquire.
Where You'll

- Lifts up to 3,279 m on Mt. Sadzele
- 75–80 km of groomed runs — the longest over 7 km
- Open off-piste terrain right beside the pistes

How You're Assessed
01 — Teaching Sessions
You plan and run coaching sessions for the other candidates on the course, aimed at their level. Your BASI trainer assesses how well you recognise your group's needs and learning styles, set clear goals, and build sessions that genuinely move strong skiers forward.
02 — Performance Analysis
You analyse your peers' skiing in real scenarios on the mountain — what is happening, why, and what to change — and give feedback that actually produces improvement.
03 — Knowledge & Understanding
Throughout the course you are assessed on your knowledge and understanding of the module's central theme — teaching and learning at a senior level — and how you apply it on snow.
Pass Criteria & Result
Training and assessment run together across the course, with results and written feedback on the final day. If the standard is not met, the whole Teaching course must be retaken. Passing this module is one step toward the full BASI Level 3 — every module must be passed to complete the qualification.
