Project Caucasus PLC
Waiver &
Release of Liability
Guiding, ski touring, cat skiing, heliskiing, lessons, courses and camps with Project Caucasus take place in high-mountain, backcountry and off-piste terrain that carries real, serious risk. This Waiver & Release of Liability is a legal document — please read it in full before your trip. It applies alongside, and in addition to, our Terms & Conditions.
01
Assumption
Of Risk
I acknowledge that ski touring, cat skiing, heliskiing, off-piste skiing, mountaineering and related activities are inherently dangerous, and that Project Caucasus cannot eliminate these risks. I understand the risks include, without limitation:
Avalanches, rockfall, crevasses and other natural hazards
Severe or rapidly changing mountain weather
Helicopter transport and remote, road-inaccessible terrain
Equipment failure or misuse, including rented equipment
Limited, delayed, or difficult emergency rescue and medical care due to remoteness
My own physical exertion, altitude, fatigue, or pre-existing medical conditions
I voluntarily choose to participate with full knowledge of these dangers, and I freely accept and assume all such risks.
02
Release Of Liability
& Indemnification
In consideration of being permitted to participate, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Project Caucasus PLC, its owners, guides, instructors, employees, and partner operators (including helicopter and accommodation partners) from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of ordinary negligence or the inherent risks described in Section 01 — whether caused by my own actions or those of others.
This release does not extend to loss or injury caused by Project Caucasus's gross negligence or wilful misconduct, which remain unaffected by this waiver. I agree to indemnify Project Caucasus against claims brought by third parties arising from my own actions during the activity.
03
Medical Treatment
Authorization
In the event of injury or illness during my activity, I authorize Project Caucasus guides and staff to arrange emergency medical treatment and evacuation (including helicopter rescue) on my behalf if I am unable to consent myself. I understand that I am financially responsible for all costs of medical treatment, evacuation, and rescue not covered by my own insurance, as required under our Terms & Conditions (Section 5 — Insurance).
04
Physical Fitness
& Equipment
I confirm that I am in good health and physically fit for the activity I have booked, and that I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or limitations to Project Caucasus in advance. I confirm I will use all equipment — my own or rented — as instructed by my guide, and will follow all safety instructions given before and during the activity.
05
Participants
Under 18
Where the participant is under 18 years old, this Waiver must be read, completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian, on the minor's behalf. By signing, the parent or guardian confirms they have the legal authority to do so, accepts the Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Medical Treatment Authorization above on the minor's behalf, and takes responsibility for ensuring the minor follows all safety instructions.
06
Media
Release
I consent to being photographed and filmed during my activity, and grant Project Caucasus permission to use these images for promotional purposes (website, social media, print) without further compensation. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please tell your guide before the activity begins and note it in the box below.
07
Governing
Law
This Waiver is governed by Georgian Law, consistent with our Terms & Conditions. I confirm that I have read this Waiver & Release of Liability in full, understand it, and sign it voluntarily.
