BASI
Project Caucasus is an official partner of BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors) and the only provider of BASI courses in Georgia — bringing the UK's official ski and snowboard instructor qualification pathway to the Caucasus.
About
BASI
BASI, the British Association of Snowsport Instructors, has been training snowsport instructors since 1963 and is the UK's official awarding body for professional ski and snowboard instructors. BASI qualifications cover ski, snowboard, telemark, adaptive, and cross-country disciplines, and are recognised by the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA). BASI is also a CIMSPA National Governing Body Training Partner and a member of the UK Sport and Recreation Alliance.
BASI is the only snowsport association in the world whose instructor courses carry academic credit — its Level 1 qualifications earn UCAS Tariff points and are recognised by the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), giving BASI-trained instructors a genuinely internationally recognised, gold-standard qualification.
The BASI Qualification Pathway
BASI's Partner
In Georgia
As an official BASI partner and the exclusive provider of BASI courses in Georgia, Project Caucasus brings this internationally recognised instructor qualification pathway to the Caucasus for the first time — allowing Georgian and visiting instructors to train, qualify, and progress through the BASI system locally, on our own terrain.
This partnership reflects our commitment to raising the standard of ski and snowboard instruction in Georgia, connecting local talent to the same qualification framework trusted by ski schools and instructors around the world.
