Booking & Payment
How do I book?
Choose your trip, lesson or course, press Book Now and send the enquiry. We confirm everything by email.
Pick your dates and group size on the booking page and send the enquiry. We reply by email to confirm availability and every detail. Your booking is confirmed once the details are agreed, you have accepted our Terms & Conditions and the 20% deposit is paid.
How much is the deposit, and when do I pay the rest?
The deposit is 20% of the total price. The rest is due 60 days before your start date.
You can pay the balance by bank transfer or in person. If the balance has not arrived 60 days before the start, we may cancel the booking and apply the cancellation terms.
How can I pay?
By bank transfer or in person. We send the payment details by email once we confirm your booking.
The 20% deposit confirms the booking and the balance is due 60 days before the start date. We do not accept cheques.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel 60 days or more before the start date and your deposit is fully refunded.
Cancellations must be made in writing or by email. If you cancel 59 days or less before the start date, the deposit is not refundable. Changes within 60 days of the start are only possible if we agree them with you. If you leave a trip or course while it is running, there is no refund.
What happens if a trip is cancelled because of weather or too few people?
You can move to other dates at no extra cost, or get a full refund if the new dates don't suit you.
If too few people sign up, we tell you at least 30 days before. In bad weather your guide changes the route or location to keep everyone safe; private guiding still goes ahead with an adjusted plan. Changes made for safety reasons are not refunded.
Can I book a private guide or a private group?
Yes. Guide-only days in Gudauri, Kazbegi and Svaneti start from €150 per person per day.
Goderdzi cat skiing can be booked as a private group from €2,700 per person (minimum 4 people). Every lesson is private, for 1 to 4 people.

BASI Courses
Is a BASI qualification from Georgia the same as one from the UK?
Yes. It is the same BASI qualification, and we are the only BASI provider in Georgia.
Project Caucasus is an official BASI partner. You get the same British Association of Snowsport Instructors qualification as on a course in the UK or the Alps. BASI Level 1 is recognised internationally and accredited at SCQF Level 6.
What do I need to join BASI Level 1?
Parallel skiing on red runs, age 16 or over, and an active BASI membership.
You must ski parallel on red runs with confidence and control. Under-18s need parental consent. BASI membership costs £89; we guide you through the registration when you enquire.
What is not included in the BASI course fee?
Accommodation, lift pass, ski equipment rental and the BASI exam registration fee.
We can arrange all of these for you: just ask when you enquire.
How do I go from Level 1 to Level 3?
Level 1 (4 days), then Level 2 (10 days), then the Level 3 modules, taken in any order.
Level 1 runs 5–8 January. Level 2 runs over 10 days, four course days, two rest days and four more (5–14 January or 9–18 March), and needs Level 1 plus 70 hours of teaching experience. For Level 3 we run Teaching (9–12 March), Mountain Safety (15–19 March) and Technical (22–26 March) in Gudauri, at your own pace.
I qualified with another association. Can I join Level 2 or 3?
Yes, in most cases. Equivalent qualifications from other snowsport associations are accepted.
Level 2 accepts BASI Level 1 or an equivalent Level 1, and Level 3 accepts Level 2 or an equivalent. Send us your qualification when you enquire and we will confirm your eligibility.
Geri Tumbasz Camp
Who is Geri Tumbasz?
An Austrian Level 4 ski coach with 30 seasons of coaching in twelve countries.
Geri holds the Austrian Staatlicher Level 4 and the Hungarian Level 4, the highest coaching certificates in both systems, recognised by the Italian Maestro di Sci, IASI Ireland and PSIA USA. He has represented Austria and Hungary at Interski and IVSI congresses and runs Cold Candy Snow School and Academy on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier in Kaprun, Austria.
What is the difference between the Full Package and Training Only?
Both have the same four days of coaching. The Full Package adds hotel, transfers and ski pass.
Coaching includes a technical assessment on day one, on-slope video analysis and feedback, and a progression through carving, short turns and varied terrain. Full Package: €2,550 per person in a shared room (€3,050 solo) with 8 nights at Skio Hotel in Gudauri, breakfast, airport meet & greet and return transfers, a 5-day ski pass and a wine tasting. Training Only: €860 per person for the coaching alone.
When is the camp, and how big is the group?
Late March in Gudauri, with a maximum of 8 guests.
The Full Package runs from 25 March to 2 April, with coaching from 26 to 29 March. The small group means everyone gets individual attention.
Goderdzi Cat Skiing
What is cat skiing?
A snowcat takes your group up the mountain instead of lifts, so you ski untracked snow all day.
The snowcat is a tracked vehicle with a heated cabin. In Goderdzi you ski five full days of powder, forest and alpine ridges with an IFMGA / GMGA certified guide, one guide for every 6 guests, away from the crowds.
What is the difference between the private and the shared Goderdzi trip?
Private: only your group, any dates in the season. Shared: you join a group on fixed dates for €2,680.
Private: 7 days with 5 ski days, 4 to 10 people, full board at the 5-star Hotel Ambassadori, any dates from 9 January to 15 March, from €3,300 per person for 4 people down to €2,700 for 8–10. Shared: 6 days with 5 ski days, minimum 4 guests, breakfast and lunch daily (dinner not included), a khinkali master class, departures 19–24 January, 28 January – 3 February and 28 February – 5 March 2027.
Where is Goderdzi?
On the Goderdzi Plateau in Adjara, in the Lesser Caucasus near the Black Sea, at 2,025 m.
It gets a deep, reliable snowpack. The return transfer is included in both trips, and you stay right at the mountain in the Ambassadori Goderdzi Hotel.
